How to correctly use the DVD from the "le Salon de Musique" collection

Thanks to DVD technology, we can present you our highly interactive documentaries and learning methods that will allow you to :
> Choose the language and sub-titles of the program you are watching;
> Edit the different modules freely;
> Loop a sequence (click on the arrow shaped logo, left of scene title);
> All of the above in a quality way better than the good old VHS (that we still have in stock!).

Our DVDs are not zoned and may be played in any country with PAL compatible equipment.
If you do not have a lounge DVD player or a PAL compatible TV set, you can use the DVD player installed on your personal computer.

The DVD is a fragile plateform and the large amount of players available on the market can sometimes be a hindrance to the reliability during playback...
Hence, problems can appear when activating the play button or the playback can stop randomly.

Remember that the DVD player stock is large and of various quality... A DVD might work in the store, but not function with your personal equipment !!!

All our DVDs are mass produced by professional labs in dustproof rooms. All the necessary tests are run prior to the pre-mastering process and the utmost care is providing during the finalisation stages of our products. Nonetheless we do receive complaints concerning DVDs that work perfectly on our stock of players and in such a case, we cannot be held responsable for the default and will not replace the DVD.

Troubleshooting :

Problems linked to standards (PAL - NTSC) :
PAL
standard is used in most countries; NTSC in Japan and the USA.
The "Le Salon de Musique" DVD collection is in PAL. You must be equiped with compatible reader and monitor. Or else, use the DVD player included in your home computer.

Setting the DVD player and the monitor :
In there vast majority, DVD players read PAL standards.
Make sure it is the case with your equipment (check the Users Manual).

If your monitor works under another standard (NTSC, SECAM, etc.), the program should be visible in black and white.
In the US, for example, it is recomended that you use bi-standard equipment (PAL/NTSC).

Zoning matters :
During the making of a DVD, it is possible to limit the geographic zones, hence restrict the areas (countries) where you can read it.
To avoid these kind of problems, all the "Le Salon de Musique" DVDs are not zoned (all regions), so they can be played where ever you are.

If the problems continue :
- DVDs are rather fragile... they do not support the sun or dust !

- If your DVD skips during plaback (same as an audio CD would), try to wipe the disk. BEWARE of fingerprints and other scratches...
To clean your DVD correctly, use a soft, clean rag and wipe from the inside-out. NEVER WIPE A DVD IN CIRCLES !

- You can also find special cleaning CDs for your DVD player. That might be a hint.

If it still does not work :
- Test the DVD on a different player.

- If some films play and others do not, then there must be a physical problem due to damage of the DVD disk (scratch, dust, etc.).

Have fun and enjoy the music.
